Rat dissection

well, we had a rat dissection recently n i tell u, humph, was it fun.. ><

preparations before dissection

Do i look like a surgeon or wat?? XD

prepare the rats too of course.. aww.. dun they look like they are sleeping...?

Our teacher first demonstrate on a white rat. first, nail the rat to the dissection plate.

Then, our teacher cut open it's abdomen n we saw the major organs of the rat such as the intestines, liver n bla bla bla.. then she removed the organs one by one n showed us which is which.. my classmates were all so anxious about the parts of the rat although some felt disgusted.. but it was when the teacher cut open the brain tat most of us can't take it..

Anxious faces of my classmates during rat dissection..

Then, it was our turn. Each group choose a rat n repeat the process. My group was lucky because out of the rats the whole class dissect, my rat's heart is the only one still beating.. We cut open the rat, remove the intestines, flip over the kidneys, cut the rib cage n took pictures of them! ha.. :D The photos below are the last pictures of my rat (with labels)~~ Rest in peace ba, rat, n thanks for letting me cut u~~ Amen.

First part of the rat.. Right after we cut open it's abdomen.

Friends for a lifetime..

I've been thinking a lot lately and I am very grateful for all the friends I’ve got.

We are all very different from each other, and yet, we love each other a lot. The times we spent together were all in the past now, those wonderful memories we created during these past few years will indeed stay vivid in our minds. Through thick n thin, we have been, blood n tears shed, happiness, sadness and disappointment shared through wins and lost.

Our relationship is much stronger than steel, and no one could replace any of us because we are unique and as important as the other. We understand that the differences between us are the things that teach us to accept each other the way we are, n that they could teach us to be a better person too.

And even though we have now parted ways, we still spend time hanging out together whenever we could, eager to catch up with each other’s life. Even if we don’t see each other every day now, we know that no matter what happens in the future, we will still have each other’s support, helping n pulling us through any difficulties that may occur. We also believe that we will always have someone to turn to anytime, anywhere.

And because we have each other, we will survive..

Friends Forever Guys.. Love ya!!!

Larian KAKOM

26/6/2010

Today we had a marathon or larian KAKOM. I was supposed to be a volunteer (as i had a broken leg in the past) but I changed my mind and decided to run with my friends. We assemble at 8am at the astaka but we only start our race at 9am!! After one n a half hour of running, jogging n walking, I finished 7km with 5 cramps all the way! I even manage to catch up with sush after a cramp. Impressive? Ha.. my face was as red as a tomato after spending time in the hot, blazing sun. The determination to finish the race by hook or by crook kept me going on till the end… kaka.. >.<
